Greetings, fellow humans!
Join us this Thursday, November 10th at 6PM at the Wilde Roast to eat, drink, and socialize (all within acceptable parameters).
This month, we will be entertained by Josh More as he shares his adventures in Nicaragua, photographing endangered hawksbill turtles using infrared flash:
I got the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua and take photos of critically endangered hawksbill turtles. The challenge is that if you take photos of them using regular flash, you disrupt the laying process and harm both the individual and the species. So I had to find a way to do infrared flash reliably… and I succeeded.
He will be bringing some of his gear along, and we will turn down the lights to experience the various flash settings hands-on.
As always, bring your appetites and help ensure that we keep getting invited back!
