Every year since 2021, we have held an in-person BBQ we call the “Toxic BBQ”, affectionately named after and modeled around the original Defcon event of the same name.
This Toxic BBQ webpage explains the idea pretty well, but the gist is:
- Anyone can attend (if you’re not a jerk)
- There is no cost (everyone eats free)
- You bring the food, we grill it
That’s about it!
Just like the main Toxic BBQ, this is a volunteer-run event. The organizers pay for the reservation and make sure to provide the grilling setup (charcoal, cooking utensils, etc.) but the rest is up to you. If everyone brings hot dogs, then all we eat is hot dogs.
